The Valhalla Triathlon

Sunday 10th June 2012

Swim 1.9 kilometres – Bike 90 kilometres – Run 21 kilometres

Valhalla. Hall of the Slain and gathering place of fallen warriors, the Heroes and Kings of Norse Mythology.

A fitting name for a tough middle distance triathlon race which will see competitors do battle against a challenging course, the elements, and their inner demons as they’re pushed to the limits of endurance through every kilometre of their race to the finish line.

Taking place at the World famous Humber Bridge the Valhalla Triathlon will challenge every competitor both physically and mentally. Nothing about the race is easy, but glory awaits those who are prepared to push themselves to the limit with the promise of a fast race and the satisfaction of knowing you’ve crossed the finish line of the Valhalla Triathlon.

Prizes and awards will be presented to 1st, 2nd and 3rd Male and Female athletes, 1st Male and Female Age Group Winners, and the Lanterne Rouge. Spot prizes will also be awarded for athletes witnessed attacking the race with true “warrior” spirit.

In addition to the individual race we will also be offering a team relay option, allowing teams of three athletes comprising one swimmer, one cyclist and one runner to compete in the race.

For the real hard core of athletic warriors among you the only true path to Valhalla is via the Ride of the Valyries…
