Event Routes & Information
The Swim – 400m
400m in the South Hunsley Sports Pool is 12 lengths. You’ll be required to count your own lengths (so learn how to count to 12) and spotters will make random checks to make sure everyone is playing by the rules. Miss a length or two and you’ll have to go back and do them again or you won’t have completed the race.
You can swim front crawl, breast stroke or doggy paddle, you can even stop at each end for a breather if you like, there’s just no walking, back stroke or butterfly…
T1
The run to transition is approximately 200 metres along a wide, clear pavement. Transition is large and can handle over 500 bikes without any conflict, there’s ample room to store bags and boxes out of the way of bikes.
The Bike – 24km
The bike route has some undulations, but nothing to worry about and certainly nothing steep. There are a few sweeping downhill sections and some great stretches where you can really power out and make up time. The views are also quite impressive, if you’ve got the time to look around.
T2
T2 is the same are as T1
The Run – 5km
A two loop 5km run on one of the flattest, fastest run courses in the area. Each loop takes you back to transition and past the supporters. You’ll never be lonely on the course.
Supporters – All The Way
T2, the finish line and transition are only metres away from the run route turn which gives spectators a fantastic view of the action. The event has also become popular with the quite vocal supporters of the Racing TNT squad. Regardless of whether you race for a team or a club, or you’re unattached and race for yourself you’ll always receive a cheer at the finish line
